Biography

Robert Saint-Brice, born in Port-au-Prince, painted tranquil interiors, markets and tropical still-lifes distinguished by graceful structure and subdued light. A member of the Centre d'Art, he balanced realism with lyrical simplicity, creating images of everyday serenity. Though less internationally known than his peers, Saint-Brice's meticulous brushwork and devotional tone earned him quiet acclaim. He died in 1988, his canvases cherished for their meditative calm.
